K-ZONE MAGAZINE
K-Zone is a fast-paced tween magazine focused on pop culture, including comics, video games, movies, and TV shows. The challenge was to deliver designs that were both visually exciting and age-appropriate, while keeping up with constantly shifting trends and tight editorial deadlines. Each issue needed to resonate with a young, tech-savvy audience while maintaining brand consistency and visual clarity.
MY ROLE
As part of the design team, I was responsible for translating editorial content into dynamic, high-energy layouts that captured the spirit of pop culture and kept readers engaged. I drew on a deep understanding of what appealed to tween audiences, combining bold colours, playful typography, and intuitive layout design to communicate content in a fun, accessible way. I also ensured all work aligned with K-Zone’s established visual identity and tone.
THE OUTCOME
My designs consistently helped elevate the magazine’s visual appeal and readability, reinforcing K-Zone’s status as a leading youth publication. By balancing creativity with structure, I contributed to the magazine’s strong connection with its audience and helped maintain its relevance in a competitive youth media landscape.
